Is White Discharge A Sign Of Period Coming? What is the reason for getting white discharge?
A white discharge is seen as normal in a woman few days or a week before her period. This white discharge may be clear, light and not smelly.
If there is a foul smell in the white discharge before period, you may have a bacterial or fungal infection.
White discharge in a woman can indicate that she is ovulating, pregnant, or have an active infection if there is a foul smell.
The white discharge is also called cervical mucus, and it forms a mucus plug at the opening of the cervix.
The neck of the cervix and the walls of the vagina produce the mucus. During pregnancy, the cervical mucus increases till term.
As more blood moves to the cervix and vagina, it causes more mucus to keeping. Candida causes yeast infection an increase in the quantity of discharge during this period. The vaginal discharge contains cervical mucus and secretions.

Types of discharge in females

• White discharge:

• A clear and watery discharge

After an exercise, many women notice a thick, clear and watery discharge. The clear and watery discharge is perfectly normal and has no foul smell.

• Clear and stretchy white discharge before period

Clear and stretchy white discharge before period is also a normal vaginal discharge. It indicates ovulation.
The release of a mature ovum from the ovary into the fallopian tube is called ovulation. In the fallopian tube, fertilization of the egg occurs. During ovulation, there may be mild spotting that will form brown vaginal discharge.

• Brown or bloody vaginal mucus discharge

Brown mucus discharge is normal when it occurs during or immediately after your menstrual period.
During ovulation, the release of the egg from the ovary can cause mild spotting. Spotting can also occur during implantation when the fertilized egg burrows into the wall of the uterus.
The blood released during spotting can mix with cervical mucus and vaginal discharge to form brown mucus discharge.

• Yellow discharge
